Our client faced significant hurdles in accurately detecting the true features of surgical tools. Precisely distinguishing their boundaries, particularly in areas obscured by tissue or blood cells, proved challenging. 

This hindered efforts to accurately identify tools and ultimately impeded precise surgical intervention. 

Compounding this challenge was the difficulty of securing the expertise of real surgeons to supervise the project.

Surgeons’ time is incredibly valuable, and their participation in such projects requires not only expertise but also the willingness to dedicate significant time for oversight. 

This presented a significant hurdle in achieving the 99% accuracy our client desired.

Our task was to provide accurate and effective annotation services. Leveraging our expertise in medical image annotation,

we aimed to enhance the client’s capabilities in accurately identifying surgical tools, thereby increasing the robot’s ability to use surgical tools accurately and effectively.

Through precise annotation of surgical tool images by our expert medtech annotators supervised by surgeons,

we achieved a remarkable 99% accuracy rate in tool recognition.
